The funds will be put toward three new Opti sailboats for the Children and Youth Sailing Summer program. The Children and Youth Sailing program, which partners with the Marco Island Yacht Club, provides sailing instruction to children of all ages. There are a variety of programs that run through the duration of the summer, aiming to provide children and youths with the best possible knowledge and instruction to help them perfect their skills, create bonds with fellow participants and above all else, have fun. Donations to the sailing program will allow the club to purchase necessary materials for the program, in addition to new sailboats for the participants.
